Created To Multiply
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.
Genesis 1:27–28
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Oftentimes people blame their humanity for their shortcomings and failures. They fail and then excuse it with the phrase, “I’m only human.”
But I am here to tell you there is nothing only about your humanity.
You are the masterpiece of a masterful Creator. You are His handiwork. And woven into your very DNA is divine potential.
We see this reality revealed in our key verses today. From the very beginning, God created humanity to multiply. He designed us with the capacity to increase and expand. Increase is not accidental—it is part of our original design.
Jesus modeled this truth for us as the ultimate example.
Luke 2:52 reveals a surprising and profound truth about Jesus’ life on earth. He did not descend from heaven as a finished version of who He was becoming. This is a divine mystery of epic proportions.
The Scripture says:
“Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.”
Jesus grew.
He developed.
He increased.
Think about that for a moment. The Son of God lived a life of increase. He grew not only in wisdom and physical maturity, but also in favor—favor with people and favor with God.
That reality alone should expand our understanding of what God intends for our lives.
Jesus demonstrated the pattern for humanity.
There is nothing only about your human nature. When you are born again, your human nature becomes empowered by an intimate connection with the divine nature of God. Through Christ, you have been made new.
This relationship with God unlocks the potential for you and me to grow, to increase, and to multiply in ways that bring glory to Him.
It’s in your DNA to multiply.
It’s in your DNA to increase.
The real challenge is refusing to allow your past condition to dictate your present position. Scripture reminds us that in Christ, “all things become new.”
So today, expect increase.
Look for opportunities to grow.
Allow who you are in Christ to lead you into who He has called you to become.
Go and multiply.
It’s already in you.
Prayer
Father, there is great pressure on us to be shaped by the past. Past failures echo in our ears, and the enemy accuses us because of past sins and limitations.
But today I pray for each of us—myself, Mother, Kiera, Makena, Aliyah, and Tegan—that we would move forward in life. Help us not to become stuck in the past. Help us to press into the full potential of who You created us to be.
Teach us to live lives that bring You glory—lives of greatness, growth, and increase.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
