Be Led, Not Lost
Matthew 6:13 "And do not lead us into temptation,..."
John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” ESV
John 16:13 “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority…” ESV
As we continue in this experience of prayer with the Father, we move to an important aspect of gaining clarity and direction in life. We have the privilege of an inner relationship with the Holy Spirit Himself. He is within us.
Because of this powerful force dwelling on the inside, we have a constant companion — an always-available teacher who is there to guide and direct us, out of trouble and into divine opportunity.
Jesus said to pray like this, “Lead me not into temptation…” This is the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. He is our teacher, our helper, our guide, and our present help in a time of trouble.
He gives us wisdom beyond our years and understanding beyond our experience. When we learn to benefit from Him, this reality gives us an extreme advantage in life.
This advantage can also be expressed through a prayer language when we are baptized with the Holy Spirit. He will literally pray for you in ways you don’t even know. This is a wonderful benefit.
Prayer:
Father God, let me children learn the benefit of developing a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Give me them wisdom beyond their years. Holy Spirit, give them understanding beyond their own experiences. Grant them insights into life, relationships, and finances that give them an advantage and favor. Show yourself strong on their behalf as they seek you with all their heart. In Jesus' Name
